Garden Of The Month: The May selection from the Garden Club at Palm Coast

The yard of Kathi and Jim Bradley of Bridgehaven Drive has been recognized as May 2022 Selection of the Month by The Garden Club at Palm Coast. The Bradleys’ are from the Buffalo, New York area and have lived in Palm Coast for 12 years.
The front yard beds are surrounded with alternating dark pink supertunias and Blue My Mind blue daze flowers. They always change the flower colors every year. There are bright pink begonias, sweet alyssum, pink azalea, white scaevola, Hawaiian Ti, philodendron, pygmy date palm, junipers, podocarpus, schilling holly, plumbago and variegated ginger also.
The back yard has quite the diversity of plants: fuschia calla lilies, gardenia, Mona lavender, Indian hawthorn, pink camellias, Tibouchina grandflora (Princess flower), hibiscus, bottle brush, bird of paradise, Southern magnolia, pink azalea, duet rose (white and burgundy), yesterday today and tomorrow, violas of various colors, orange gazania, red amaryllis, dahlia, jatropha, blue agave, hydrangea, Texas spider lily, bush daisy, red pentas, gold cape honeysuckle, and lantanas.
Along the fence are Confederate jasmine, bougainvillea, and red passion flower vine. On the fence are hanging pots of mixed petunias, white verbena, red begonia, large ferns, and white bacopa. For fruit trees, they have a lemon and lime. You can tell they love plants and color by the diversity in their landscape.
