Small Business Program Launched By Chamber

If you own a small business, home-based business or are an entrepreneur that wants to start a business in Flagler County, we’re looking for you. The Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with CareerSource Flagler/Volusia, is proud to announce the Chamber’s first small business program for Flagler County business leaders.
CareerSource has secured grant funding, and partnered with the Chamber, to help fund 10 scholarships for small business leaders who will work with consultants at the Coastal Entrepreneur and Innovation Institute to grow and strengthen their businesses. This intensive, one-year program will help coach small business leaders on different aspects of their business.
Finally, The Palm Coast Observer has committed to covering the progress of these businesses, which could help drive customers directly to program participants.
“Flagler County is home to thousands of small businesses. The first phase of our small business program is to begin working directly with a select group of small business leaders to help grow and strengthen their businesses,” said Greg Blosé, President & CEO of the Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber. “The second and third phases of our program will have a much broader reach, which will include additional education opportunities and will help connect consumers to our local small businesses. A special thank you to Robin King and the team at CareerSource Flagler/Volusia for helping make this program free for all participants.”
Robin King, President & CEO of CareerSource Flagler/Volusia, said “I’m grateful for the opportunity offered us by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity to provide resources for Flagler County. Supporting the development of our small businesses is a great investment for our community and workforce.”
Palm Coast Mayor David Alfin said, “I applaud both the Chamber’s and CareerSource’s efforts to help strengthen and grow small businesses in Palm Coast. I urge our city’s small business leaders to engage with both organizations to take advantage of these useful resources at no-cost.”
